Archer, as he is known around the house, is a handsome Wirehaired Vizsla.  Born 2/12/05, he has only dabbled in the world of competitive hunting because of limited opportunities.  WHV's are a rare breed in the USA and have just recently (Jan, 2009) been recognized by the American Kennel Club.  We are very excited about being able to participate in AKC events. 

WHVs are now recognized and registerable with AKC, NAVHDA, FDSB, UKC, and ARBA.  Archer is registered with AKC, NAVHDA and FDSB. 

Archer has already passed his NAVHDA Natural Ability test with a PERFECT SCORE of 112, earning him a Prize I.  He has also competed in some local American Field field trials.

On April 5, 2009, Archer became the first Wirehaired Vizsla to earned the Junior Hunter title in AKC.  Good Boy, Archer!

Archer has been through professional training and is broke to wing and shot.  He is a natural retriever.  We are excited to get him more involved in the world of AKC sporting events!
